Great Expectations - PBS/BBC Coproduction to Air During Dickens Bicentennial

Airing on PBS in two parts on Sunday, April 1 and 8, 2012.

Masterpiece Classic Gillian Anderson will star in the iconic role of Miss Havisham in a bold new adaptation of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. The cast of the star-studded Masterpiece on PBS/BBC coproduction also includes David Suchet (Poirot) and Ray Winstone (Sexy Beast).

Three video-based lessons will be posted in April on the free educator resource. Using clips from Great Expectations, English Lit classrooms can compare and contrast the film with the book, learn about the moral underpinnings of the work, and explore Dickens's writing process.
