The Uncommercial Traveller Illustrations
Illustrations by G.J. Pinwell
The Uncommercial Traveller is a collection of sketches written by Dickens for his magazine All the Year Round in the 1860s. Collected in a single volume first in 1861, additional sketches were added in editions of 1865, 1874, and 1898.
Illustrations for these collections were provided by G.J. Pinwell (GJP) and an illustrator known only as W.M. (WM). Besides the initials of the illustrators, the name of Dalziel can be seen on some of the illustrations, this refers to the engraver.
