Guest contributors to The Charles Dickens Page
A special thanks to these Dickensians for their contributions to this site

Robert Giddings
Professor emeritus at Bournemouth University. Bob contracted polio as a child and both battled and immensely enjoyed life from a wheelchair. He was a fervent Dickensian and the remarkable story of his life can be found in his autobiography You Should See Me in Pyjamas. He and I corresponded quite a bit in the early 2000s and he never failed to entertain and encourage (in his Christmas cards he gave me the honorary title of professor). Bob passed away in 2012 - Obituary in The Guardian.
